Fat Burning Foods – What Are Some Good Fat Burning Foods?

by Fat Burning Program on December 16, 2009

When you want to burn fat most people know that an important factor will be what you put in your body. It’s important that we get a lot of fat burning foods in our diet, and by diet I mean nutritional plan, not some restrictive, detailed food plan that nobody could stick with in a million years.

What you want is food that has lots of good nutrition. It can be calorie rich or calorie poor, but it should have good nutrition in it. Sugar is a great example of WHAT NOT TO EAT. It’s very calorie rich and binds a lot of fat, as well as water. This is the most dangerous ingredient other than pure fat.

Lean Protein – You should be eating a lot of lean protein, such as chicken, eggs, beans, legumes etc. This kind of protein is healhy lean protein that will keep your metabolism up during the day.

Fibers – Another great food that helps burn fat and also reduces your hunger is fibers. Good fibers will be found in natural oatmeal, and many vegetables.

Vitamins and other Micronutrients – Your body needs a lot of vitamins and minerals in order to get the energy it needs, but also to help burn fat at the end of the day. A great way to get these types of nutrients is to eat fruits such as berries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc. These are great fat burning foods that have a lot of energy, but keeps you thin. A smoothie is a great example where berries works wonders and tastes good!

Healthy Oils – Your body needs fat, so why not get it from the best kinds? Fish oil, Avocadoes and virgin olive oil are perfect examples of “healthy oils” that are rich in omega acids that are vital for a high metabolism and fat burning.

These are just some of the fat burning foods that can help you lose a lot of weight through dieting. Another cool idea is to look at the energy density of the food. That means calories per gram basically. Soda sucks, it’s got a very high energy density as opposed to “lettuce” which has basically no enery for its density. If you fill your belly with the least dense foods you’ll be fuller quicker and getting less calories, therefore losing weight at the end of the day.

You might want to try using some of these methods as explained in Fat Loss 4 Idiots here…
