First off all, in order to lose fat you need to be at a caloric deficit. This means that you are burning more calories than you are consuming, preferably through exercise.</p>
<p>1 Pound of fat is pretty much 3,500 calories. That means you need to burn off 3,500 calories and the safest way to do this is to burn it off 500 calories at a time, 7 days a week for 1 week. That means creating a deficit from food, eating less (500 calories), exercise it away(500 calories) or do a combination there of where you reduce your calorie intake by 250 and exercise for 250 calories per day. During that week, scientifically you should lose  approximately 1 pound.</p>
<p>If you want to make this process easier for yourself, then try incorporating strength training into your routine. This can burn off over 250 calories and also give you additional calories being burnt from the afterburn. I recommend lifting heavy weights and doing compound movements as much as possible.</p>
<p>You can burn more fat in less time with interval training. My favorite 2 exercises to do for intervall training is: Sprints and Burpees. I also will sometimes do &#8220;hill sprints&#8221;, which is simple, just run up and walk slowly down. I count that as sprinting too. This type of exercise will also give you a very nice afterburn which is essential for burning fat 24/7.</p>
<p>The last idea is to simply move more throuought the day. Sitting or laying still doesn&#8217;t burn calories. So moving or swinging your feet while watching TV actually helps increase your calories burned. Small things add up during the day, so if you park further away at the mall, take the stairs more often etc it will eventually mean a lot more calories used during just normal day activity. If it is at all possible to increase your heart rate during the day, do so, any small increase of breath means increased metabolism for short periods of time!</p>

When you starve yourself you tend to over eat or binge on small high carb things, because your brain is programmed to crave the calorie heavy foods. There have been studies that show a hungry person who saw a pizza and the same, but &#8220;fuller&#8221; person saw the same pizza, but the response was totally different.</p>
<p>He reacted &#8220;hey, a pizza, gotta have it&#8221; on the first one where his stomach was empty and deprived of energy. The second time he said, &#8220;hey, a pizza&#8221;, with no futher thought as to eat it. This proves that it&#8217;s a good idea to eat small meals, more frequently to always have activity in your stomach. This helps eliminate cravings for high calorie foods, literally.</p>
<p>I did it today. I starved myself a little extra, just to try it. Here&#8217;s what I did.</p>
<ul>
<li>I ate my egg + spinach omelett this morning like normal, with my multivitamin and fishoil supplement. <strong>DONE.</strong></li>
<li>I went off to strength train and after had my Post Workout Drink (protein and carb mix). <strong>DONE.</strong></li>
<li>I came home 30 minutes later, put 5 chicken breast in the oven, went about my activities and ate one chicken breast a few hours later with vegetable mix, while putting the other chicken breast in the fridge (ready to eat later). <strong>DONE.</strong></li>
<li>Soon after I was feeling hungry, I hadn&#8217;t ate too much today, just 2 eggs, 2 handfulls of spinach, a chicken breast and some mixed vegetables + oil. I had a protein drink to get something in me quickly, that&#8217;s beneficial for my fat loss. <strong>DONE.</strong></li>
<li>I was no longer hungry<strong>, UNTIL, </strong>about 2 hours later&#8230; I was craving something BIG AND CARB RICH. Instead I had some shrimp, about 12 shrimp and 2 eggs along with one banana, vegetables and 2 big glasses of water. <strong>DONE.</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>I was no longer &#8220;super hungry&#8221;, but rather full again. See how I killed that late night temptation with healthy food? I took a small meal, 2 eggs, 12 shrimp a banana, vegetables and oil to satisfy that HUGE CRAVING. I literally wanted to jump in the car, drive for 15 minutes to get to a pizza joint, spend $12 on a pizza, wait 15 minutes and by that time I&#8217;d have eaten it all, and be $12 behind! Not a good deal.</p>
<p>Instead I actually killed the temptation with some protein, fruit and vegetables. I felt full &amp; satisfied. Then in an hour or two I&#8217;ll take a late night snack, probably some cottage cheese + fresh berries + fish oil or something and I&#8217;m done for today! That&#8217;s a simple yet effective way to do &#8220;fat loss&#8221; even if you are so hungry that you could die. To make it even better, try drinking the water first, then eat.</p>
<p>Notice how I eat frequently, but smaller meals throughout the day? This is essential to keep your metabolism burning all day long. <p>First of all, let&#8217;s talk about what makes fat loss work. A calorie deficit and active tissue that creates a high metabolism = Having a lot of muscle. In the <strong>Food Lovers Fat Loss System</strong> he talks about eating YOUR FAVORITE FOODS, and if those are Pizza, Hamburgers, Ice Cream and Doritos you&#8217;ll not lose weight, no matter how much you exercise. You cannot out-exercise a bad diet.</p>
<p>At first glance you&#8217;ll see that <strong>Food Lovers Fat Loss System</strong> is heavily promoted as a &#8220;eat anything and lose weight&#8221; program with just a few minutes exercise. In my opinion statements like this should be banned, literally. And it&#8217;s an infomercial, most of that stuff is junk that has to do with fitness.</p>
<p>To lose weight you must MOVE YOUR BODY, BUILD MUSCLE and eat right. Even though you might lose fat on the program, it&#8217;s not something I&#8217;d recommend. You will likely not get into &#8220;good habits&#8221; which is what makes fat loss permanent. Sure, you might lose weight in the first 21 days, but it will soon come back.</p>
<p>Fad diets never work. I&#8217;m not saying Food Lovers Fat Loss System is a fad diet or is promoted as one, but I&#8217;m saying that I feel there are better solutions to losing fat out there.</p>
<p>What you need to lose fat, that I do not see used as effective in Food Lovers Fat Loss System is:</p>
<p>Strength Training to build muscle in order to increase your resting metabolic rate. More muscle is more active thus needs more energy to function. Great!</p>
<p>Cardiovascular training to get your heart rate up and fat loss going. This is a perfect example of where intense workouts beat long and boring cardio. There are even ways to combine it with strength training to only perform short workouts 3x per week and triple your results, really!</p>
<p>And last but not least a healthy, balanced diet (nutrition plan) not &#8220;freaky diet&#8221; that will have you lose 10 lbs of water and muscle, then gain you back 12 lbs of fat. That&#8217;s what happens with most &#8220;diets&#8221;.</p>
<p>What you need is a proven plan that works, that incorporate all three main big components as well as a lifestyle change. Without it you&#8217;ll never make it in the long run! Besides aiding me with fat loss I&#8217;ve noticed that my skin is much clearer and healthier from taking this supplement. I didn&#8217;t know about it too much, but had heard that there was benefit to it.</p>
<p>Overnight things started to happen. I used to get dry and itchy skin that had red rashed, almost like eczema, but not that bad, just itchy and annoying. I could easily get red around my eyes. The first day I took Omega supplements, the next day I woke up, it was literally pretty much healed and my skin was very smooth in many places it used to be dry. WOW&#8230; I was amazed what happened.</p>
<p>I then went online to read up more on these kinds of supplements and I found many benefits of Omega-3, not only did it help your heart, brain, skin, but it could also help A LOT with fat loss. Now I&#8217;m never going to skip a day on this supplement. Yes, there are only about 2 supplements I&#8217;m really serious about, Whey protein and now Omega-3&#8217;s.</p>
<p>I also started on a multi-vitamin just to get even more nutrients in my body, but I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s needed if you have a good solid and balanced diet consisting of mainly vegetables, fruits, lean meats,  fiber rich bread and healthy fats.</p>
<p>If you are not currently on an Omega-3 supplement I highly recommend a daily dose of at least 1 gram, but preferably 2-3 grams. It will help speed up fat loss, make you look significantly younger and has many many health benefits. The good part is that it is literally SUPER CHEAP!!!!</p>
<p>You can get a bottle of 100-200 pills of 1 gram for $10-$20! That will last you months at a time. Nothing could be easier and cheaper than Omega-3 supplements for optimal health! Go for it!</p>

<p>A good solid diet should consist of 1,800-2,400 calories per day, spread out in 300-400 calorie meals, 6 times per day. You meals should preferably contain as little sugar as possible. Also stay away from fat or fried foods. You should however, eat some good fats, such as olive oil, fish oil or other omega-3 and omega-6 rich fats.</p>
<p>You should also try to get about 1 gram of protein per pound of body mass. So if you are 180 lbs you should eat 30 grams of protein per meal, since 180/6 = 30 grams. Your protein should come from fish, lean meat, or beans.</p>
